The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2026) has officially been unveiled in China, expanding Huawei’s tablet lineup alongside the nova 15 series and the Watch 5 10th Anniversary Edition. While the new model closely follows last year’s version, it brings a refreshed chipset, updated software, and subtle refinements aimed at productivity and entertainment users.

Huawei continues to position the MatePad 11.5 series as a balanced mid-range tablet with strong performance, eye-friendly display options, and AI-powered features.
The tablet features an 11.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2456 × 1600 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Peak brightness reaches up to 600 nits, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Huawei is once again offering a Soft Light Edition, which includes a special anti-glare coating designed to reduce reflections and eye strain—ideal for reading, studying, and long working sessions.
Under the hood, the Soft Light Edition is powered by the Kirin T82 chipset, while the standard MatePad 11.5 (2026) uses the Kirin T82B processor. Both variants run on HarmonyOS 5.1, delivering improved system fluidity, better multitasking, and deeper ecosystem integration.

HarmonyOS 5.1 introduces several AI-driven enhancements, including Huawei’s AI Health Learning 2 system, which adapts usage patterns to improve productivity, learning efficiency, and overall device performance.
For photography and video calls, Huawei has equipped the MatePad 11.5 (2026) with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. While tablets aren’t camera-centric devices, this setup is more than capable for document scanning, online meetings, and casual shots.

Additional highlights include quad speakers for immersive audio, Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.2, and reliable wireless performance for streaming and cloud-based tasks.
The tablet packs a large 10,100mAh battery, ensuring all-day usage for work, entertainment, and online learning. It supports 40W fast charging, allowing users to quickly top up and get back to work without long downtime.
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2026) is available in four stylish color options:

Pre-orders are currently live in China via the Huawei Vmall store and other online retailers. Official sales will begin on December 25.

With a refined display, updated Kirin chipsets, HarmonyOS 5.1, and a massive battery, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2026) stands out as a solid upgrade for users looking for a reliable Android alternative in the tablet space. It’s a strong choice for students, professionals, and media consumers alike.
