RedMagic 12 Pro+ Design Keeps the Rear Panel Flat

RedMagic is continuing its recognizable transparent styling, pairing a detailed rear appearance with a clean, flat shape. According to the company's design announcement on Weibo, RGB liquid cooling is another highlight of the new model.

The official images show two rear cameras integrated into the back without a raised camera bump. This gives the phone a more uniform profile and could help it rest more evenly on a desk.

Three Transparent Color Options

The RedMagic 12 Pro+ will be offered in the following finishes:

  • Transparent Dark Night
  • Transparent Ice Blue
  • Transparent Silver Wing

All three retain the transparent design theme, with different color treatments giving buyers a choice of darker, blue or silver styling.

Flat Display Features an Under-Display Selfie Camera

On the front, the phone features a flat screen surrounded by slim bezels. RedMagic also uses an under-display front camera, keeping a visible punch-hole out of the main viewing area.

For gaming and video playback, that design provides an uninterrupted screen surface. The design reveal alone, however, does not establish how well the hidden selfie camera performs.

Snapdragon Power and RGB Liquid Cooling

The upcoming flagship is expected to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. Combined with the highlighted cooling system, performance is a central part of the phone's gaming appeal.

RGB lighting adds a visual element to the liquid-cooling design. Sustained frame rates, operating temperatures and real-world efficiency will need to be assessed through testing once the device becomes available.

A Slimmer and Lighter Gaming Phone

RedMagic previously said the 12 Pro+ would be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor. Alongside the flush rear cameras, those changes point toward a more streamlined body for the new generation.

Exact dimensions and weight are not included in the design details covered here, so the size difference cannot yet be quantified from this announcement.

China Launch on October 15: What Comes Next?

The October 15 presentation is the next key date for buyers following the RedMagic 12 Pro+. Pricing, available configurations and sales arrangements will be important details to check before placing an order.

The launch discussed here is for China. This announcement does not establish an international release date or availability in Sri Lanka.
