Motorola Razr 2023 with a large external display

Motorola is among the manufacturers that quickly jumped on the clamshell folding phone wave. She had years of experience with classic flip phones, so it wasn't such a big problem to dust it off and use it for smartphones as well. Their first folding clamshell smartphone Razr saw the light of day in 2019 and was based on the design of the once popular classic clamshells. Subsequently, a new Razr was released every year, and to the delight of all fans, the phone was improved each time. Last year's model pleasantly surprised with a larger external display, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor, a larger battery and an improved folding hinge. We will look at what design and improvements this year's Motorola Razr 2023 may have today.

THE FIRST RENDERS OF THE MOTOROLA RAZR 2023 PHONE 

Razr clamshell phones are part of the big three together with Samsung and Oppo, which also have clamshell phones in their portfolio. A few days ago, Oppo's clamshell model hit the global markets , which also became the king of large external displays. This was countered by Samsung, which promises an even larger external screen for its Galaxy Z Flip 5.

However, if we look at the first rendered images of the Motorola Razr 2023 model, we can't help but smile. The external display occupies almost the entire folded half of the phone. In the outer screen, there are two larger rings for the main camera sensors, the LED flash lies to the right of them. The renderings were posted on Twitter by tipster legend Evan Blass, so they can be trusted. And at the same time we can add that the Motorola Razr 2023 phone wins the competition for the largest external display.

However, we don't know much about the other specifications of the Motorola Razr 2023 yet. Tipsters only estimate that the internal display will have a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and the processor is said to be Snapdragon 8+ Gen1. But these are the parameters that the Razr 2022 also has. So, if the tipsters are not mistaken, the biggest improvement will be the large external display and the other modifications will be only partial. Tipsters estimate the date of the new Razr to be introduced around August/August, so we still have plenty of time for more detailed information.
