Like every year, the Google Pixel 8 phones have been talked about for a long time before their launch. That's why we already know almost everything about them this year, and tipsters have even summarized the specifications of the Pixel 8 model and the Pixel 8 Pro model . So it seems that the last piece in the mosaic of information is the date of their presentation. But that always comes in the fall, and this year, it seems, will be no different. But we are interested in the exact date.

We already know that one today. Google confirmed it shortly after Apple also published the specific date when it will launch its iPhone 15 series phones. The iPhones will debut on September 12. But we won't wait too long for the new Pixels either. We will see them at the "Made by Google" presentation event, which will take place on October 4. Unlike Apple's event, which is regularly held in Cupertino, California, Google chose New York for its big presentation this year. Everything starts there at 10 o'clock local time. And it is not excluded that, in addition to the Pixel 8 series phones, Google will also introduce the new Pixel Watch 2.

GOOGLE PIXEL 8 PRO MODEL PARAMETERS 

Since the Pixel 8 Pro is the higher-end of the range of phones that Google will introduce, we'll summarize its specifications. They were recently published in full by one of the tipsters. According to him, the phone has a 6.7-inch OLED display with QHD+ resolution and LTPO technology. The refresh rate of the screen reaches 120 Hz, the brightness reaches 1600 nits and the fineness reaches 490 ppi.

Other specs include a Tensor G3 processor with a dedicated Titan security chip. It is paired with 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. Google also improved the phone's photo equipment this year. For the main camera, we expect a primary 50 MPix sensor with OIS support. It is likely to be a Samsung Isocell GN2 sensor. In the lineup, it will be complemented by a 64 MPix wide-angle Sony IMX787 lens and a 48 MPix telephoto lens Isocell GM5. The new 8×8 ToF VL53L8 sensor will help with focusing. The front camera has an 11 MPix sensor. The battery is said to have a capacity of 4950 mAh and support for fast charging with a power of 27 W. The operating system is, as usual, Android 14.
