Oppo A2 Pro debuts in China

There is another quite cheap phone in the world. It is the Oppo A2 Pro model, which Oppo presented exactly according to the previous plan on the Chinese market. It is a mid-range phone and its launch was basically a formality, as it was listed on the China Telecom website a few days ago. Still, let's take a look at what the new phone has to offer.

OPPO A2 PRO DESIGN AND DISPLAY

Although it is a fairly cheap mid-range phone, its appearance is premium. The Oppo A2 Pro has a curved display, almost invisible side frames, and even the bottom and top frames are not wide at all. In the center of the top of the screen is a “hole” for the front camera. The rear panel is dominated by a really large circular module of the main camera, which also rises to the level of the back. For one of the color variants, the manufacturer even covered the back with artificial leather. The overall design of the Oppo A2 Pro phone is said to be more resistant to falls.

The display of the Oppo A2 Pro phone is of the AMOLED type with a diagonal of 6.7 inches, a resolution of 2412 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The sampling frequency reached 240 Hz and the brightness up to 950 nits. There is also support for 2160 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

As a processor, the manufacturer used the Dimensity 7050 chipset and added 8 GB/12 GB of RAM and 256 GB/512 GB of internal storage. Connectivity is represented by 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ax (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and USB-C. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the screen and there is also resistance according to IP54 certification.

The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and supports fast charging with a power of 67 W. The operating system is Android 13 with the ColorOS 13.1 superstructure. The photo equipment of the Oppo A2 Pro is typical for mid-range phones. An 8MP front camera with an aperture of f/2.2 is ready for selfies. The main camera is composed of a primary 64 MPix sensor and a 2 MPix sensor for capturing depth of field.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY 

The Oppo A2 Pro is coming to the Chinese market in Vast Black, Desert Brown and Twilight colors. Pre-orders are now open, with sales starting on 22nd September. The prices of individual memory versions are as follows:

• 8GB/256GB - 1799 yuan ($247)
• 12GB/256GB - 1999 Yuan ($275)
• 12GB/512GB - 2399 yuan ($330)
