Redmi 13C launched in Nigeria

About four days ago , the Redmi brand announced that it would soon introduce the Redmi 13C phone. And since the teasers appeared on the official website of the Nigerian branch of the brand, it was clear where the phone will debut. Now the phone is out in the world, and it looks like after the launch in Nigeria, it will reach other global markets, at least the US, where it appeared in Amazon's database. Therefore, let's take a look at its specifications.

THE MAIN PARAMETERS OF THE REDMI 13C MODEL

The Redmi 13C phone is the lowest model of the entire Redmi 13 series. We will see its more "advanced" siblings later. The parameters are very similar to the phone Poco C65 , which debuted a few days ago. Probably the only change is a different design of the rear panel, namely the appearance of the main camera module. The display is essentially the same with wider bezels and a chin and a small teardrop cutout above the screen. The LCD display has a diagonal of 6.74 inches, a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. So it is the same as the Poco C65 model.

We do not find differences even in the used processors. Both the Redmi 13C and the Poco C65 are powered by a MediaTek chipset, specifically the Helio G85. Redmi has added 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage to the processor, which can be further expanded up to 1TB. Up to 8GB of virtual RAM is also available. Connectivity is rounded off by dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz/5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, GLONASS, USB-C and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The fingerprint sensor is located on the edge of the phone. The battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh, but it only supports fast charging with a power of 18 W. The operating system is Android 13 with the MIUI 14 superstructure.

It seems that the photo equipment of the Redmi 13C is the same as that of the Poco phone. The main camera is triple with a primary 50 MPix sensor and a 2 MPix macro lens. The manufacturer does not state the resolution of the third sensor, but it most likely also has 2 MPix. The front camera has an 8 MPix sensor.

The Redmi 13C is coming to the Nigerian market in Midnight Black, Clover Green, Glacier White and Navy Blue colors. Sales are already underway and the price for the 4GB/128GB version is set at 98,100 Nigerian Naira ($117). The 8GB/256GB version will then cost 108,100 NGN, which is roughly $129.
