The launch date of the Huawei P70 series has been postponed
Ever since the US ban on Huawei, fans and non-fans alike have been interested in the evolution of Huawei's range of mobile phones. The Huawei P70 series sees itself as one of the most advanced smartphones of 2024. After the recent leak of its camera design, it has generated considerable interest among tech enthusiasts and no wonder. But now there is a news that this device will not come as soon as we expected. Popular and verified Chinese tech blogger @DigitalChatStation (@DCS) recently wrote on his Weibo account that the launch of the Huawei P70 series has been delayed. A blogger brought the news that Huawei is working hard to launch this device. However, this will no longer happen in March. Previous reports regarding the launch date of this series indicated that this device will arrive as early as the end of March.”
The Weibo post reads:
“The Huawei P70 series has indeed been delayed. The basic competitiveness of this generation is quite strong. As already mentioned, the configuration of the technical model is quite good. Relatively small size 2.5D 1.5K + 50MP super large sensor + periscope + wireless charging + satellite communication Beidou is the main feature of the top model. There are still breakthroughs in telephoto modules and satellite communication technology.”
The blogger revealed that the standard version of the Huawei P70 got a " relatively small display " 2.5D 1.5K. This model also has a 50MP main camera as well as a periscope lens. The whole series supports wireless charging and Beidou satellite communication. Despite the shift in launch date, the range will still be launched with some innovative features.
PREVIOUS NEWS ABOUT THE HUAWEI P70 SERIES
Blogger @DCS previously revealed that the launch of the Huawei P70 series of mobile phones is tentatively scheduled for the end of March. They also claim that the series will use a new main camera with a telephoto lens, new satellite communication technology and a new innovative design.
The information available so far about the Huawei P70 series is as follows
- Chipset: Kirin 9xxx, the chip frequency of the standard version and the top model are slightly different.
- Display: 6.58-inch 2.5D 1.5K LTPO / 6.8-inch 2.5D 1.5K LTPO
- Camera: OV50H with physical variable aperture / IMX989 with physical variable aperture, 50MP ultra-wide lens, 50MP 4x periscope telephoto lens
- Features: New satellite communication technology, new appearance design
In comparison, Huawei equipped the Mate60 series with a Kirin 9000S processor last year. The processor part of this chipset has 8 cores and 12 threads. This includes 1 core clocked at 2.62 GHz, 3 cores clocked at 2.15 GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.53 GHz. The GPU model is the in-house developed Maleoon 910. So it can be expected that the Huawei P70 will come with a significant upgrade in specifications. Also, the device is likely to be more expensive than its predecessor.
